I love living downtown and walking everywhere, but now that spring is here I have the bicycle itch. It is such an efficient way to travel. It is good for your body and the environment and there is just something wonderful about rolling around town! When is the last time you opted out of driving in favor of hopping on your bike. Pull it out, dust it off and bicycle for a day.

I feel guilty when I have to take a bag from a retailer. I try to carry my own bag with me and you should too. If Seattle approves the 20 cent fee for every bag a customer uses, perhaps more people will bring their own. We can only hope that initiatives like this are coming soon to a town near you!

You have got to be kidding me. They can do this? How can you drain 50 million gallons of water a day from anything at all? Our government is creating a ‘strategic petroleum reserve’ in underground salt caverns? I guess we can call it economic development. Let’s destroy an ecosystem or two or three and hoard some oil. Your tax dollars hard at work… .
